Hello Group 42! We are going to keep working on Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore and some Figurative Language Activities.

Wednesday Sept. 30 is Attestation Day. Other than the students that have to stay home, please make sure you come in on time.

I will also be adding the Classwork to my blog from now on, that way the students at home can keep up with their work. I will also be having some Google Meets during the week to help with the lessons. Details will be sent on Class Dojo.

Videos and lessons will be sent on Google Classroom to go with the lessons I teach. They will only be posted on the day I am teaching that lesson.

ELA Classwork

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore Google Slides (42 Reading)

·       Complete the Connections slide in Reading Response Copybook (or looseleaf if you don’t have it)

·       Complete Reading Response for Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore – follow instructions on slide 4. Do your rough draft in the copybook first.

·       Look at the example on slide 5.

·       Then, on the blank side provided, recopy your response there and decorate.

Descriptive Journal (42 Writing) Complete your first Descriptive Journal on what you like about the season of Fall (one complete side of writing) then you can decorate that slide and/or add another slide for pictures.

You can also decorate your cover slide (ex: Include your name and some images that represent you. Remember the example we saw in class.)

Hello Group 41! We are going to work on some writing activities this week. Students will be bringing home their Language Power, Math duotang and Math Numbers book every night from now on. That way, should someone need to stay home, the books will be there and they can keep up to date with their work. I will post the Math Numbers pages on Dojo, that we worked on in class, to those who are absent. ELA activities will be assigned on Google Classroom.

Friday is a ped.day.

 Hello Group 41! Here we go with our first homework blog for the year. 

Please look back at the first week's "Welcome" blog entry if you haven't already done so. 

Remember to fill in the agenda and return the Health Forms.

On Thursday we will have logged on and activated the SWL student account on our Google Chromebooks. I would ask that the students log on at some point this weekend to play a Grammar game that goes with our lessons this week. (It will only be posted Friday).

Grammar games should be played on a laptop or regular computer (iPads require an account)

Using the Google Chrome browser (preferable), they type: classroom.google.com in the address bar. Their username is their student number ex: 12345@swlsb.ca. Password is their student number. They will enter my class group and use the link provided to play the game. This is a private group and no students other than group 41 will have access to it.
