Hello Group 42! It was wonderful meeting the parents who attended the
Open House. I did however forget to mention something in my first session. The
students must have their 1-12 x-tables memorized. This knowledge is necessary
for many of the upcoming units in the math book. Although using fingers or
drawing sticks is a strategy, memorization is imperative for success. We will
be starting our first times table quiz this week. It will give you an idea of
which tables need to be practiced. Cards, computer games or using the agenda
are all acceptable ways to practice, at least 5 minutes a night.
I have assigned a project. It is posted under “Tales of a Fourth
Grade Nothing Oral” on the blog. It will need to be completed at home with your
co-operation.
*PLEASE CHECK CLASS DOJO EVERY
WEEKEND FOR UPDATES ON BEHAVIOUR*
