Monday Nov. 25 - Draw a Picture Problem Solving Quiz
Tuesday Nov. 26 - Spelling Test on Lesson 6
Friday Nov. 29 - Money Test (counting money, making change, adding and subtracting amounts)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend J This Thursday is Parents Night. Friday is a ped. day. The report card will be sent home that afternoon. Mme Guindi and I will be seeing parents in the gym from 4:30 – 7:30pm. We are sending requests for the parents we would like to see. If you did not receive a request, but would like to meet with us, please fill in the coupon sent home Friday. We will do our best to fit you in. We are also available to contact you by phone during the day if you prefer. Just write a note in the agenda as to when would be the best time to reach you.

The marks found on Edmodo can give you an idea of what you can expect on the report card next week. Keep in mind the average found is simply for those graded activities and tests. It does not include their class work, group/class participation and homework.

*Each Monday, we will be working on a new Problem Solving strategy. Please use the problems we work on in class to as additional practice. Just change the numbers! There will be a short Problem Solving Quiz after each topic is covered. This week is Draw a Picture in the Problem Solving book. I will give practice questions in class this week and there will be a quiz on Monday November 25.*

Reading Comprehension:

I will be assigning one story from the Reading Comprehension activity book each English week. It will be due the Friday of that week.

This week’s story: Johnny Appleseed pgs 18-23 due Thursday

Spelling:
Lesson 6 is due Thursday – students will have time during the week to work on it in class.

Test is given with Lessons 6, 12 and 18 ONLY Spelling Test Tuesday November 26 on Lesson 6

Math:
This is what we will be working on this week and the next English week: Money Unit: Prism Ch.7 (no multiplication), Nelson Stencils: pgs 18, 38, Money Stencils
Nelson Ch.2 Wednesday November 13 on Lessons: 1,2,3,4,5,6 (no money)

Monday: Nelson stencil: pg 19 Numbers 1-7

Tuesday: Study for Nelson Ch 2 test

Wednesday: Nelson Stencil pg.18

Thursday: Money Stencil pg.42
